Long-Wattled Umbrella Bird
The bird takes its name from one of the characteristics of its male kind. It has a large crown. It is composed of feathers that look like fur. The crown goes over the its bill. Another characteristic of this bird is its long wattle hanging from its chest. Its wattle stretches to lengths of about 18 inches. It inflates when courtship season starts. It holds it close to its chest during flight.
