Dragsholm Slot, Denmark
The original castle was built as early as 1215. Parts of the castle were used to house prisoners in the 16th and 17th century. It was rebuilt in 1694 after some parts started to weaken. Due to the age of the place, it is said to house all forms of scary stuff. From a grey lady to the ghost of all prisoners, the castle will definitely freak you out. James Hepburn, the 4th Earl of Bothwell, was one of the most prominent prisoners at that time, and is also the one showing up more often.
