Czech Republic’s Sedlec Ossuary
The set of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean is comparable to the Sedlec Ossuary. This spine-tingling structure serves as home to the earthly remains of 40,000 to 70,000 people. Most of the bones belong to those who died during the plague that occurred in 1318, as well as the 15th century Hussite wars. Some people refer to this church as the skull macabre building which contains bodies were dismembered, reassembled into decorative designs and de-fleshed.
