Japan’s Aokigahara Suicide Forest
Many locals believe that the Suicide Forest of Aokigahara is the best place to take one’s life. More than 500 confirmed suicides have taken place in this forest since the 1950s. Don’t take this route if you’re simply up to a leisurely stroll. Even the trees suggest that the place is haunted. The trees were twisted and turned and the roots winded across the ground in treacherous threads. The feeling of isolation will overwhelm anyone who’ll visit this area due to the stillness.
