Winchester Mystery House
This house is connected to William Wirt Winchester, who is known as the man behind the Winchester gun. Sarah Winchester was his wife and they used to live in New Haven with their child. However, William and their child died, which led Sarah to consult a spiritualist. The latter recommended that Sarah move west and build a house there to appease the spirits of those who died due to Winchester guns that were said to be haunting them.
