Villisca Axe Murder House
On June 10, 1912, a neighbor of the Moore family became concerned when she didn’t see them go out of the house in the morning, which they usually do to work on their chores. She knocked on their door but got no response so she called the brother of Josiah, who was the head of the family. Upon entering the house, the entire Moore family and their two guests were found lifeless covered by axe wounds.
