Lalaurie House
Louis and Delphine were prominent people in New Orleans. They moved to their home in 1832 and were fond of hosting parties that invited the socialites in the city. However, many didn’t realize that brutal tortures were done to slaves. After the house burned in 1834, the firefighters discovered a secret chamber that had several tortured bodies. Some of them were chained, others were on makeshift operating tables, while others were hanged. They had their body parts mutilated and opened.
