7 Scariest Places on Earth That Will Give You the Chill

Eastern State Penitentiary, Pennsylvania

This penitentiary was built in 1829 and it was the first prison in the state of Pennsylvania to use the solitary confinement system. Prisoners were kept totally isolated, driving many of them insane. Due to the extreme effect of the system, it was removed, and it served as an ordinary prison. Paranormal activities started to be experienced in the 1940s. When it closed in 1971, the ghostly activities became even more intense, including strange sounds, shadowy and dark figures, and evil cackling noises.
