Australia is not just known for the Sydney Opera House or its kangaroos, because it also has its own share of haunted places. Monte Cristo Homestead is considered the most haunted not just in New South Wales, but in the entire country of Australia. The structure that was built in 1885 was witness to several tragic events that are believed to cause the haunting. The original owner of the building was the Crawley family and they experienced tragic deaths during their period of stay including a maid, a boy, and another young child who died within the property.
