Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town
The Dutch East India Company built this structure in South Africa in the 17th century. It’s considered as the oldest colonial building in the country, which served as ships’ replenishing station during that period. In 1915, people have reportedly seen a tall gentleman at the ramparts of the castle, which happened again in 1947. The death of former governor Pieter Gysbert van Noodt’s was also considered eerie as he died the same day that he had seven soldiers executed and it is believed that the soul of the soldiers have cursed him.
